   Replacement of the undercarriage in the CAT D6 MLGP dozer

  The next replacement of the complete undercarriage in the CAT D6MLGP dozer is behind us. This time we present a short photo-report of the replacement from the system one to a classic system. All undercarriage components have been replaced, i.e.: track chains, track shoes, segment groups, track and carrier rollers, idlers, as well as chain and segment bolts. The disassembly of the undercarriage components in this particular dozer went extremely smoothly, with no problems with unscrewing the bolts or with bolts breaking off. Due to the fact that the one system was installed, more parts were disassembled to allow the installation of the classic. After cleaning the critical contact points between components and parts, new chassis elements were installed. Of course, as always, where necessary, the bolts were mounted on glue, tightened to the correct torque. Finally, the start-up and, of course, the obligatory chain tension check.
